Dedicated Donors

Our children up till now have received approximately 350 units of red blood in total.

This blood is mostly from dedicated donors. I often wonder who these donors are? Mostly whilst sitting in the middle of our two children during a blood transfusion in hospital. Not what they look like but.......

• "What do they like to do?"
• "Do they have a family?"
• "Do they enjoy fashion like our daughter?"
• "Do they play basketball like our son?"
• "Do they know who their blood helps?"

I often think about who these people are that give so much of themselves. People that have given our children an opportunity to have a somewhat, as close to as possible, normal life.
