Australia Day 2007

HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY.....What does that mean to you?

Going to the beach with the family, lamingtons, green and gold, the day that Australia was discovered by Captain Cook....

This year has been a very important Australia Day My DAD was bestowed a great honor, an OAM.

He was recognised for the great service he provides to the community to within which he lives. Least to say We are very proud of him.

Although, I am not the Queen of England I believe all regular Blood Donors should recieve a special recognition for the service they provide the community.

BLOOD, A gift, A gift of Life.

Thankyou, Congratulations and thankyou to all regular Blood Donors.

Happy Australia DAY

Review of Australia's Plasma Fractionation Arrangements

You will be aware that the Minister for Health and Ageing, the Honourable Tony Abbott MP appointed an independent committee to review Australia's plasma fractionation arrangements which Australia agreed to undertake following the Australia-United States Free Trade Agreement.

The review was designed to identify any issues that may arise if Australia introduced increased competition into the provision of plasma fractionation services for Australia.

The Review Committee reported to the Minister on 13 December 2006.Given your interest in the Review, a copy of the report is enclosed and I would like to advise you that a copy of the report and other information relevant to the Review process is available at the website: <http://www.health.gov.au/plasmafractionationreview >.
